WORKSHOP BUDAPEST
When: from January 2011 untill the final show of the school on June the 17th
Where: Budapest, big circus capital for the presence of the important Fovarosi Nágycjrkusz, the stable circus of the city, of the ancient school, of the biennial international festival and the well-equipped winter quarters for the preparation of acts and artists.
Who: Alessandro Serena and Rebecca Magosso for Circo e dintorni, Bogdan Zajac for Ocelot, but above all Kristian Kristof and the guys from the circus school of Budapest for Maciva.
Big cooperation with the circus school of Budapest for this step of the Homeless project: very important the choice to some guide lines to follow to build technical acts joining interpretative moments. A workshop for the education and the growth of the self-consciousness using expedience coming from theatre in the study of circus disciplines. Love, play or entertainment, femininity and rebellion the themes chosen by Alessandro Serena and Kristian Kristof to propose to guys. Hungarian guys and teachers, advised by Kristof, engaged in the creation of played scenes to show, to guys the choice of a theme to follow to build their performance helped by the teachers and directors of the final show, this last with the task to take care about both technique and presentation of every part of the show. For the guys some occasions to show to fellows the evolutions of their work and with the teachers discuss about their sensation: an occasion more to increase critical sense and self-consciousness, feeling on their own body the reactions of an audience from every expressions of the face and body, but even from the choice of makeup, costumes and music. A real creative work to be shown then during the final show of the school even head-on Italian and Polish partners of the Homeless project. Big educational worth and big amusement for everybody in a final occasion with the taste of an international party.
In Budapest for this creative workshop, but even to search for acrobats to be insered in the show in progress, research that didn’t limited to newly-qualified student, but even to other acrobats that move around the national circus. Among them hand to hand duo was selected.
